Your Life is a Blank Page

  • originally published on Medium

“There is nothing to fear but fear itself” … except for the blank page.

Staring into the nothingness, trying to create somethingness, brings forth a bevy of emotions: anxiety…uncertainty…reflection…discouragement.

Seemingly endless possibilities combined with seemingly endless interests and desires can make a blank page feel overwhelming.

And isn’t that just like life?

Life is a blank page or rather, a series of blank pages. Each experience, each person we meet, and every chance we take, are written into our lives…written into our world.

And like any good story, there is joy, there is pain, and there is always the anticipation of, “What will happen next?”

Because we don’t know; we never know. We just have to keep turning the page.

We watch as who we are and who we will become appear right in front of us.

We wait in suspense as we turn each page to see what the next chapter will hold.

Will we write a love story? A story of adventure? Will our life be full of horror? Or will it be a guide for others to live their life, in a more spiritual way?

Your book is full of endless blank pages where your life will be written.

Write your story your way.
